Analyzers
There have been exciting
things happening at Microlabs.
In our third quarter, we have completed the upgrade of our Hematology
instruments to a full line of ABX automated analyzers. This upgrade and
expansion has allowed us to increase our workload and reduce errors. A
move that places us in a better position for future expansion.
Quality Assurance...
Microlabs' continued obsession with quality has pushed us once more to
implement more stringent quality control measures. These include computer
generated statistical analysis of published results. The new computer
generated statistics includes more than the usual day to day standard
deviation and coefficient of variance calculations; they incorportate
statistical analysis over a period of years. Statistical analysis on years
of data help us determine if there are any new changes in the population's
normal range and hence helping us determine what internal adjustments
should be made on our expected results.
Clinical Chemistry
& Immunology Analyzers
Microlabs
has also completed the upgrading of our clinical chemistry and immunology
analyzers. The new analyzers are of the ChemWell® series of analyzers.
They have a smaller footprint which improves on space utilization, and
are very reagent efficient, which improves our cost savings.

Reference Manual
Microlabs
Limited, JA., is in the process of making available online, its reference
manual for common laboratory tests. The purpose of the move is to continue
Microlabs commitment to making valuable laboratory resources available
easily. 'Sometimes you don't have a manual infront of you, but you have
a computer', said one high level official of the company.
